e-Safety

e-Safety is a term which is associated not only with computers and the Internet but also with other electronic tools that children use  e.g. mobile phones and gaming devices.  It is to do with ensuring that children are protected from harm and supported to achieve the maximum benefit from new and developing technologies without risk to themselves or others.

We promote e-Safety by teaching children (and adults) to:

  • Recognise risk and take steps to avoid it
  • Take responsibility for their own and others' welfare BUT ALSO
  • Report inappropriate contact and content because it is important that they know they can ask for help
